Simple Storage Trays for Duplicates

Post by BPG »

Hi Everyone-
I built some simple storage trays with dividers the other day to solve the problem of duplicates. I usually buy in small lots on eBay, and I always end up with duplicates. After years of just tossing them in a box, I wasn't sure what I had & what I didn't. I made four of these trays in about three hours, not counting glue drying time. I made three for cars, and one with larger spaces to fit boxes. Not exactly rocket science. Details are on the MatchboxRX website, if you're interested https://matchbox359808139.wordpress.com/ (if the link doesn't work, a google search for MatchboxRX should get you there

I would not store my boxes in anything cardboard. It attracts silverfish, roaches and termites which eat cellulose fibers. I had a devil of a time with silverfish destroying some of my more expensive boxes.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Thanks, Joe, I hadn't thought about that. I'll give these a quick spray... there's a great water-based, no-smell, non-staining roach treatment that we have in the states that will probably keep them at bay. (I live at the beach where we have flying cockroaches as big as skateboards. This stuff has gotten rid of them)

And Just so you know, the boxes are all repro, so no great loss if the bugs get them, but I take your point. I'd rather NOT have them eaten, if that's an option.

I like the flying milk float.
All my collection is absolutely mint, sage and onion condition
