Either click on the user control panel at the top left, or just click on the persons name you want to pm.

You can also find them in the "Members" list and click on their name there.

Thanks for the advice guys,i did try to send a message but it just sat there,but reading the other pm thread it seems the person has to be online to receive,i will give it another go lol

Yes, that's right. The PM sits there in your Outbox until such time as the recipient picks it up, at which point it moves to your Sent box. I find this very useful becuase at least I now know whether a message I've sent has been read or not!
