Spare parts

Post by kevspeed »

Some of my Dinky/Corgi models have parts missing :( ,i have searched the net,and Ebay and have made a note of a few dealers that supply n.o.s and repro parts. The two that stand out (so far) are ACME 3000 model restorations on Ebay, and MK Models, based in Holland.
Both seem to have a large selection of the spares i will be requiring, but as a newcomer i want to be sure im parting company with my hard earned with the right people,so any recommendations would be welcome, and any comments treated in confidence. Thanks in advance....Kev 8-)

I have to go with Steve Flowers every time for tyres as he supplies most of the suppliers...

Mkmodels or modelcarparts.com is my go to. Rob is responsive and parts are generally sourced from Steve Flowers, I understand. Placed a large order just after Christmas for Dinky spares which arrived today, not bad as I am in New Zealand on the other side of the planet. Very happy. Only issue for me is the lack of euro VAT refund for non EU orders. But that's a minor issue. Quality is always good and the one minor issue I had in the last 5 years was sorted fast and efficiently.

I also like the ability to make extensive orders over time (as I acquire models which need parts) which are stored on my browser via cookies and then I just complete the order and pay via PayPal giving me security that if things go south I have another avenue for redress. Shipping costs are reasonable too. Only alternative supplier I use is Dinkyclub.com purely because they have some parts others do not have

Happy hunting.....

Cheers
