Thanks Stephan, good old paper clips. Used a lot of them in my time along with various thicknesses of wire and solder as solder is so easy to work worth but will remain quite firm once painted.

Iso Grifo in gold.
What do you think does it work?

That's a brilliant paint job, but I think it needs a snazzier interior to set it off. How about crimson or maroon?

Before and after restoring Sorry pictures are a bit pale.

Re: Malibu´s custom models
I've had the same nightmare -did a clean, then parts removed/covered, paint strip, clean, dry, repaint......hurrah! Then thought I'd protect it all with spray matt clear varnish and the paint all cracked. Back to stage one.Malibu wrote:The problem was the clear varnish over the beige paint.
It causes the beige to crack.
In the stage the model is now I could paint the roof without this problem but I simply do not dare to do it bcause I don´t want to spoil the model again with beige paint where it should not be as I did two times before.

All my collection is absolutely mint, sage and onion condition

Just made a quick pitstop with this Jaguar XK140.
This model is easy to restore - only one axle rivet to handle with

Comes across on my screen as another high quality finish Stephan, worthy of associating your name to it!
I am sure if you rented a table at a toy show or toy collectors fair your models would attract a lot of interest.
