The M8 - K8 hybrids are really interesting and quite scarce, so it’s a good find. Your M8 is a relatively late example - an earlier trailer would have a flat front, different arms at the rear, and no brace under the ramp. Another one to look out for!

A photo of my turquoise and yellow version and the blue and silver DAF.

Ghosthunter: Thanks for re-sizing the photos.

Everyone else: With regard to restoration of the blue/silver DAF - would it be possibly to realign the cab back straight? It's bent at the cab base. I'm worried that trying to bend it back will result in a break or crack and make it worse. Any ideas on whether or not to proceed and if so, how? I bought it simply because I thought it was a different coloured one from the range and didn't realise it was a pre production model.

I’d do nothing to it except perhaps give it a very gentle clean. It’s exceptionally rare and special just like it is, and the damage helps to show that it’s authentic.

I do not think an attempt to straighten the tractor unit is worth the risk. Mazak/zamak does not take kindly to being worked, and seems to crack very easily when bent.
