Howdy and Happy Holidays!
Been too long since I visited and posted. Was kind of burned out having reached my goal of collecting at least one of every Matchbox models ever made.
To finance that adventure, I fixed up play worn models that I got while buying collections, customized them, replicated rare models, and sold them on eBay.
Saw some of Marty's Matchbox Makeovers videos on YouTube, kind of getting motivated to start the business back up. With all three kids in college, my bank account is under serious attack.
When the weather gets a little warmer, I will drag out (from attic closet) my vast inventory of play worn Matchboxes and finish getting all of them painted and sold.
Hope everyone has a safe and Merry Holiday.
Happy Holidays Fellow Restorers.

The very best of luck with that..Taking account of a vast collection of half done or ready stripped models is a daunting task.I started by getting all my Land Rover bits and selling the lot on Ebay...Success a new start made, then getting an inventory together of what was worth actually doing and what was now too abundant in the model world to be of little significance....Now on the way to getting more done than I had hoped for.......Good luck...
Heres the man with the bargains.Always open to offers from this sites members..http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/misterpop/m.h ... m=&_ipg=25

Dave, good to hear from you!
I, for one, very much look forward to seeing you become active again and hope you show all your projects here.

It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Hello Tinman,
Nice to hear a familiar voice. Hope you are well over there in Florida.
Wish I had some elves to do the work for me in my workshop. But then again, they only work with wood and wouldn't know how to use a dremel.
Ho Ho and Happy New Year. I've got probably 300 beaters to fix up. That will take me a week to complete. Ho Ho Ho!

I am recently out of hospital and slowly recovering from a near death experience. All my restoration work (and all other work) is now on hold until I get stronger. But, I am slowly recovering and at home with nearly all my family gathered around. Looking forward to seeing the work that others post and enjoying vicariously.CrazyDave wrote:Hello Tinman,
