Dr. Jeep/Ghosthunter

Dr. Jeep is correct - Yellow Hatra with square base as per photo - this is my third one of these :D

The Mercedes Ambulance is the early model without the front bumper braces - a model missing from my collection so this was a nice find

As a bonus I enclose a photo of my latest Hatra - the orange body/yellow wheel model with the hole in the base - in my experience this version can be quite difficult to find :)

Sebastian :)

Re: 30C Cranes

Post by Sebastian10 »

I have been looking for the version without the rear brace since January 2018 without any success so it was nice to get 3 of them recently :D

The one with the box (number 18) has a repainted crane and some paint touch up on the body but the base looks untouched and is complete with some rusty axles whose ends look original :)

Happy Collecting :) :)

Wow this is amazing, you chase just one and end up with three. Can you now chase a Superfast #69 Silver Shadow coupe with the long seat moulding for me... :D

Wow - three! Congratulations!

Can you confirm the cab brace size and whether the bases have the beam or the two plates? It will help with the variations table. Thanks!

Dr. Jeep/GhostHunter

Thanks for the comments - I think I struck lucky - I bought two of them on the same day! :D :D

All three models have the thinner rear cab wall/thicker rear brace and two plates under the front axle

The orange cranes all seem to be the same

None of these are in great condition but one of them has been been on my wants list for a while

At an average of just over a pound per model this one was a lot less than the 200 pounds or so that one made at Vectis about a year ago! :D

Can you guess which one it is?

Happy collecting :) :)

Majorette Renault 5 because it’s hard to find without paint?

The Commer milk float looks like it has clear windows. That’s hard to find. Does it have grey plastic wheels too?

Dr. Jeep

Correct - Commer has clear windows but has been over painted - the wheels are silver plastic though I do have a grey wheels model but the windows are the standard green

The 3 cranes were bought over a period of just 10 days after never ever seeing any for sale before this, even in 'beater' condition :)

My latest single model purchase is the no peep hole Dennis Tippax with the harder to find Fine Black Plastic Wheels as per photos below :D
