All Hail Charlie P!

Given the significant number of detailed posts that Charlie P has been making in this part of the Forum, the decision has been taken to bring all his posts together in a separate, dedicated area.
I am ashamed to say that it wasn't until I started transferring his posts into the new sub-Forum that I became truly aware of what he has done for VBD: 198 posts (so far!).
The new sub-Forum will make searching Charlie's posts much easier and is also a way for the Forum to publicly acknowledge Charlie's dedication to the hobby (just think of the space they take up!), and his outstanding contribution to VBD.

Indeed someone who has spent such considerable time and effort in search of such varied and complete variation listings deserves to be recognised in such a way. Charlie your dedication to your collection over the years is amazing!!

Wow, what a surprise!! Thanks Idris and RSSierra for the kind words. It has been a great pleasure contributing to the forum in particular to this range of Matchbox models since not much is documented. I have also learned from the input of other collectors. No one really knows what was made or what survived so it keeps things interesting.

This was not only a Herculean undertaking on Charlie's part (and Hugh's as well, I do suppose; consolidating all those threads must have consumed a lot of time)...it has become a valuable reference and learning tool. A well-deserved "thank you" to both Charlie and the moderating team!
