Issue 20 & 22 in the white book.
The green model is a very recent addition.

The green example is much harder to find than the gold one.

The gold one is not pictured in Alex his 1st book. Not sure if I had that model already when Alex his 1st book came out.

For those of us who do not collect YYs, could someone please explain what is so special about these two models?

The spare tyre holders on the rear have been swapped. The later green model had the fat later tyres whilst the gold model always had the thin tyres that fitted to the early metal wheels. Looking at the gold it has the 2nd spare tyre on it and vice versa the green one. Nice couple of rarities made by using old and new stock at this time.

The gold model can be found with the correct (original) metal wheels with the larger spare carrier as well. Equally the green model with the thin spare carrier can be found on models with or without base holes (base E & F). Incidentally, they haven't been "swapped" they were made like this in the factory. Ergo they are "transitional" models as the 1-75 boys call them.

I have tried to give Marcel's picture some colour cast correction as his original is too blue.

Should have said swapped at the factory Bob. The old biscuit tins got mixed up in the delivery order.
