Pat,
Wow! What a great group of models and boxes you acquired from the auction. Those are some really nice variations.
I would expect that these acquisitions are a little extra special for you since they came from a fellow collector that you know!
Ali has a great eye for nice models and boxes-- including being a super expert in finding and identifying many different variations.

Looking forward to seeing you again in July in Albuquerque.
I've been using your box site a lot in getting my collection further detailed in my catalog.
Thanks!

Some very nice models in great condition!

Do you know whether Ali was disposing of a whole collection in this sale or is there more to come? :) :)

Right on, Bill. Getting some of Ali's pieces was very special for me, he's a top guy and one of the most knowledgeable collectors I know.

I hope to be there next July ! It became an addiction to be in New Mexico at that time of the year and meet with all the great people at the Gathering !

I think he only sold a part of his collection and keeps his most cherished models. So I don't think there will be a part 2 any time soon!

So, regarding Ali's collection - it's my understanding from him directly that this was a "thinning out" of many variations that he'd acquired over the years but he is not leaving the hobby. This sale did not represent the core of his collection.
