MB Y -collectibles YY- mattel YYX reference

now that my matchbox list covers 120 pages with 80% YY so far ,started to go back and collate old notes/receipts into it.

in making it quick searchable have started to cross reference the Y nos into YY YYO YPPO (y-37/92-29) of collectibles and
thru mattel's must have at least 9 characters (3xxxx-99xx,YYM/DYM 3xxxx)
cars have least # ,J1 thru R box would have more ### then the shipping box would be 3-20 #
has any one else made these notes?
it is a big help when sellers (most)are clueless and refuse photos and/or you have it in a different shipping box

It sounds as if you have collated some facinating information on the later 1990's and onwards box and pakaging details. It would be nice to see some group shots of what you have in your collection, unless the time spent on trying to resolve the spread sheet problems prevents you from getting some pictures done!

could try and forward you a few photos but, w XP and here or photo sites dont play well
other than 2 wall displays mama allows many are just box photos... hidden from mama,

many photos were done when coding but being off the pre '90 grid,
I had no clue what to photo / how to list it, or what to look for with one example as some have done very intense (slide rule) inspections with many cars at hand

being computer literate 30 years ago,today I have no idea how to work most programs, or work a screen shot of list which is now 120 pages where column 2-3 and 11 would need paired to display.

wish I could get all the "antiques" into some type of data /list ,simple to work with .
UPC and rfid was an option but required $$ STICKERS then when factory upc was on a box ,it was not liking 30 the same that were actually different

although not strictly 100% YY have added 200+ numbers/cross reference to list this week '96-2006

still digging thru files 92 YY list was 16 pages
only had 29 YY doubles or 5 % of todays extras

received some hard to find YYM this week 38259 etc
