I only have one 37a Karrier Lorry - It has domed axles shown below

had a bunch that are undetermined flat dome not like either proper example,from other posts suspect caused by 3 changes of supplier then in house,then learning/tooling with each

The flat head axles were simply nails. The sharp end and excess length of the nail was cut-off in the crimping process. It's likely nails were obtained from several different suppliers over the years.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."
