Re: Ghostys’ Mum Sad News
Thank you. I really don't understand why this has happened to me. You expect to lose a parent when they are in their late 80's or are suffering from a terminal illness, but to lose both in a short period of time as has happened is so cruel. Mum was just into her 83rd year and Dad was in his 82nd year, nothing these days as our elderly are easily reaching their 90's!zBret wrote:So very sorry to hear of you mothers passing Kevin;

Hi there Ghosty...I've been busy with other things most of the year and not got round to getting on forum, I couldn't believe it seeing your sad news so soon after your Dad passing, anyway I know it's a bit late but want to wish you my deepest condolences.

Thank you Lee. It is the forum I come to (along with 'Moyboyz'), to try and help refocus my life but not having any parents now I find it difficult relating happenings in my everyday life to someone, no one to talk to anymore, no one to take shopping anhymore and no one to share Christmas with!

Without being flippant, have you considered getting a cat? A house is never empty when there's a cat in it, they're always pleased to see you (if only because they think you might feed them), and they're better than a hot water bottle because they stay warm all night long. Furthermore, in my experience, a rescue cat will be very grateful for a kind a loving home.

I had a three leg, deaf and blind dog named "Lucky."
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

A friend of mine once had a dog called ciggarette with absolutely no legs, all he could do was take out into the back yard for a quick drag...
