I use a Mac since 2009, and now has my 2nd Mac since 2017.
I no longer can use photo bucket for quite a while now but posting didn't give any problems until now.

Some other collectors may also remember that in the 40th years book a No. 1 Private Owner set was mentioned but as the text said no examples were known.
The set existed of 3 boxed 1-75 models and included the A3 metal garage.
The other box is the box to be found !

Now we have a color picture of that set.
It is from a 1959 Christmas advert and at 7 / - it is the cheapest of that years giftsets.

There aren't any real examples known so was this set ever released or was it such a low edition that not 1 of those survived ?

Please click on the picture to see the lower right corner of the picture.

Hello Marcel,
Thank you for showing this colour print.

Another interesting point about the colour print is that it shows the 45a Vauxhall in powder blue instead of red or yellow alongside the 19b and the 43a.
It seems strange that the 45a Vauxhall Victor and the 43a Hillman Minx should then appear in the UK Presentation Set number 3.
Perhaps we have never seen a PS1 because it was not actually made for production due to model duplication.

Powder blue 45a (actually a colour match for the 36a):

This is a colour trial not a preproduction since it is the 'with dashboard' body casting.
(Unfortunately, this model does not form part of my collection. It was auctioned on Ebay and subsequently discussed in the very early days of VBD on Lefora.)
