ultra rare 1959 Matchbox No.1 Private Owner set

Some other collectors may also remember that in the 40th years book a No. 1 Private Owner set was mentioned but as the text said no examples were known.
The set existed of 3 boxed 1-75 models and included the A3 metal garage.
The other box is the box to be found !

Now we have a color picture of that set.
It is from a 1959 Christmas advert and at 7 / - it is the cheapest of that years giftsets.

There aren't any real examples known so was this set ever released or was it such a low edition that not 1 of those survived ?

Well spotted, Marcel.
Interesting to note that the A3a garage illustrated appears to be a pre-production with green roof, yellow doors, and cream walls.
