31c Lincoln Continental

Post by johnboy »

What do you think of this one? It only cost a few pounds per model and was mixed in with a small bunch that also included an open bumper Europa. Generally playworn, bend to the front axle, off-white axle clips: thanks

It does look good even down to having the paint in the countersink areas of both rivets, a regular wheel feature on this model whereas superfast versions tend not to have paint in the rivets, so is this a really early build superfast model done before the rivets were spun down (as oposed to being prressed down), or a bloody good base swap!

I don’t know what I’d expect in the Superfast version, but my regular wheel Lincoln in this colour (mine from new) has much less paint in the rivets, with the front rivet in particular looking more pressed than this, and having almost no paint. I’d like to see the base of other Superfast Lincolns.
