Some recent finds

Post by DrJeep »

It's been a quiet summer, but here are some nice models I've acquired recently. The Fairlane has black wheels (sorry - not immediately obvious at this angle). The trailer is the first casting and the Honda even has its plastic stand. The tipper has the normal chrome grill and tow guide, though it does have two Douglas labels on the other side. I'm most pleased with the Aston Martin, although it's missing its driver. Which colour should he be? I think white.

The Aston with "5" is very exciting, but for me more intresting the double labels on the tipper. Could you show us the other side too?

Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter

here's the other side. The labels are almost on top of each other. It's interesting that the axle ends are very poor - I'd think they were faked if the model was rare.

Another nice little lot. Sadly the 31b has a broken tow hook, but I knew this from the auction pictures, and I think they're hard to find with black wheels in any condition.

Nice lot, thanks for showing. The green Ford with BPW is beautiful. Could you give us more information about the pink cabriolet?

Cheers, Peter

It's a Morestone Plymouth Belvedere, in pretty good shape. It joins my other three, including the more unusual version in cream that I showed here. They were made from 1957 to 1962.
