I picked up a dark yellow one for 50p at Stafford Swapmeet last weekend. Chipped but not too bad and all its tyres present. It has a hole in the base on rear diff.
I don't really collect these but it caught my eye and it is now in a cabinet. What is the hole for?

My understanding is that the hole is for suspending the casting component during spray painting (rather than having it resting on something like an open chain-link conveyor belt).

Got this job lot - fairly pricey but I think it is good value for the number of models included :) :)

Can you spot the gem?

Happy collecting :D

Nice little haul, these will keep you busy checking the variations :) I've probably missed something obvious, but it looks like a yellow superfast Lambo amongst them. I can't tell due to the angle, but does the Ford Tractor have a long stack?

I think John's already got it with the yellow Lamborghini and the Ford tractor. Unless the 30c Faun is without the brace? Does the 71c Ford Heavy Wreck truck have a smooth floor? A nice lot, definitely.

Is that something out of the ordinary in the top tray, between the beach buggy and the BMC?

Are you suggesting a #29 Racing Mini with cast door hinges Hugh, if so that would be quite a find in a nice lot.

I am wondering if the #6 Ford Pickup is the Superfast version with the unpainted baseplate?
