Yes, the guide definitely has this the wrong way round. The riveted glazing came first, so is usually without the tow guide. The studded glazing usually has the tow guide. There are lots of missing variations on the DAF - they’re discussed here, though we haven’t got round to a list yet.

Sorry, it's not unusual, but still nice - I've always liked these DAFs.
