Got some new ....Corgi

Don't post much here, mainly watching, reading and learning but trying too. For now I thought I'd share some recent finds.

A Bedford Machinery Carrier 1131 to go with my Priestman Cub shovel 1128 to make the Gift Set 27.

I love the Corgi Commers and this 354 ambulance will go well with my 355 army police model. The 479 Film Service Commer has been on my wishlist too but ebay prices are too high for me. This one is really nice and the cost was decent. I saved on combined postage as a few models came from one seller

The Angus Firestreak airport rescue was a score at $5 USD. Very near mint. This is one of Corgi's larger scales. The red version though has working lights and siren. Not sure why they did not include that in the green version. Missing fire guys and barriers that came in the original box but the oxygen tank (or extinguisher maybe???) and dolly are there!

Some really good models there Shane, love the Angus for only 5 US Dollars, that's less than 5 UK Pounds at the moment, a real steal, even with a few items missing but because relatively speaking it is a modern product, the parts should show up easier than if it was an ancient Matchbox model, so fingers crossed you'll get those eventually.

just to show I am still here, just not posting much sorry, I thought to share some recent buys.

I now have the Angus in red version which has electronic features (green one was not released with the functions). Flashing lights and siren. I believe this version was marketed for France as the opposite side of the box is all French. This release did not have the two figures, road barricade or cart with fire extinguisher.

Nice find and looks in very good condition. Finding one in a box as well is a bonus.

I've been on a mission to acquire the original 9 Corgis from 1956. Mettoy's first releases as Corgi. These models were released for several years so there are different editions. I don't believe mine are all first editions, but they are all examples of the first Corgis. I have 7 of 9 (Star Trek Next Generation fans will have a smirk over that). Each came in either motorized or not motorized versions Except for the Austin Healey and the Triumph which only came in non motorized. The motors allowed the cars to keep a forward or reverse momentum (depending on what way you pushed it). An "M" after the model number indicates if it is a motorized model.

Sorry if these have been posted by others, as I did not check, but these are the ones I have so far. Just received the Path Finder the other day. Two more to go !!!!

Great, great models .

The green mechanical Rover is scarce and the Austin Healey with spun hubs even scarcer !
All are in nice condition.

This is the first time these have been posted together as far as I recall and looking very nice for it as well.

Corgi launched these as part of their well known slogan...''The ones with windows'' which when parked next to the Dinky Toys of the mid-50's, must have been quite exciting for the young lads with them. Dinky not managing to fit windows in their cars until 1959.

I look forward to the whole set when you achieve that target.

I believe this is one that is a later version, unlike the other's smooth hubs.
