I have left the original image by ''Newts66'' so the rivet and axle ends can be studied in more detail, but for easier viewing have added the resized version below.

Thanks, Kevin.

I think the baseplate river passes muster, but I'm concerned about just how deeply those axle ends seem to be recessed into the wheel hubs.

My apologies for the double post I'm new to the forum and still trying to figure it out
I've had this casting for quite a long time. I've always been under the impression its original, I received it
From my grandfather when I was a kid I will have to compare it with my 25b grey wheel version and see if they have the
Same recess on axel ends.
Thx for accepting me into the forum I have a lot of loose castings and some are quite rare I'm hoping to maybe be able
To sell some through the forum

IIRC, I never seen a BPW VW that was real and so far I'm fairly sure no one has ever shown a real one on this forum.
One would have to study the above model in hand to decide if it's real or not.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

I'll compare it to my GPW examples this weekend.

I'm struggling with the enormous size of your photograph (Ghosty, please work your magic!), but it does seem to show at least one axle end reasonably clearly.

What we would need in order to be able to move closer to a firm opinion would be similarly detailed photographs of all four axle ends.

Resized image of one axle-end.

Ideally we need to see all the other axle-ends, please!
