Alex Picha Yesteryear book.
The new English language Models of Yeasteryear gude by Alex Picha & Pavel Lagner is now available.
This has been produced as a suppliment to the earlier book designed as a rewrite of the old MICA intstigated reference books, the so called White Books.
The 100+ pages of full colour reference material will satisfy many Yesteryear collectors. It covers the period from 1956, the introduction year of the original Yesteryear models up to 1972, the year Yesteryear production was suspended so Lesney could concentrate on the new Superfast models.

The link you posted originally worked ok for me.
Try this one.
https://www.diecast.cz/3-druh-modelu
I was heavily involved with the content of this book so will leave it to Kevin or others to review as I might appear biased. I was asked to write a recommendation by the authors, and that is on the back of the book.

That is strange how my link (copied from Marcel's), works for some and not others??
I was also a contributor to the book so I may also come across as biased in my review!

Re: Alex Picha Yesteryear book.
The big book as most of us would have have now long be sold out and many people asked for an English edition of it.
Alex has visited Ricardo in Swiss and Bob Tutt in the UK (to name just a few) since the 1st book was published to make even more photos.
Bob Tutt was a great contributor to this NEW Collector's Guide.
The NEW Collector's Guide IN ENGLISH (and hard cover bound) provides even more description and explanation of model and Lesney box versions than the six-hundred-page Big Book of Matchbox Models of Yesteryear 1956–1972.
Newly discovered variations of models and the Lesney box section were also updated.
The NEW Collector's Guide IN ENGLISH has 108 pages and only covers the models 1956-1972.
All the tables are in English aswell.
You will see the general book description here:
https://www.diecast.cz/domu/216-collect ... -1972.html
members here can sent an email to Alex direct at:
picha@seznam.cz
for more questions or order a copy.
Alex can also sent you the price including postage to your country directly from Prague.
Since the book was released in the Czech Republic about 10 days ago about a 1/3 of the run is now sold out.
Alex also put the book on Ebay but it is cheaper to buy direct from him by email and PayPal.
The Ebay offer for collectors who prefer that way is here:

One of the reviews on the MOYBOYZ forum about this book:
(by Mattias, a dedicated collector from Germany)
Got my copy today - absolutely stunning - a must to have for every serious collector. As Marcel said, there is more information here, presented in a short and readable way than in any earlier book about MOYs. Price is more than reasonable for what you get.

Another review , this time from UK collector John Connolly:
Got my book yesterday morning and have not been able to put it down. There are not enough (or more likely - I do not know enough) superlatives to describe what I see before me. This is an absolute must for any MOY collector, and I cannot wait for Volume 2 etc. Dare I say this is the new "bible" for the early models?
One thing for sure is the legacy that Alex & Co have created for every MOY collector, most of whom are not even born yet.
