Just had a buyer take two of my items at 2p each {I like to give folks a chance]--So,Amount 4p plus postage £2.95=£2.99 take away fees 30p leaves £2 69..Now I have to spend £2.95 on postage tomorrow so I will lose 30p plus two very collectable models [Yea right] .But thats the gamble you take with an online auction its a hit and miss buisiness alright but it could have easily gone the other way if there had been another buyer looking for my rubbish.....Remember this when complaining about no sales and extortionate fees ,think of them as a loss leader as someone will have looked at your stuff who may not have otherwise visited your page........Surely a lot of you will have picked up an absolute bargain as no one noticed what was selling that day.....
Lets hear your best bargains ,Dont be shy nobody will accuse you of profiteering if you bought a Matchbox car from Oxfam for 20p and sold it the next day on Ebay for £2500.....Its a jungle out there and its our job to use our nouse and make some interesting stories out of the minefield we have chosen to be our hobby as when our friends come round and look at our latest finds do we not swell with pride when a new catch is admired and a slightly jealous look comes over our friend faces.
This is the way not to do it.But I'm down sizeing.

My best bargain was before eBay became international. I bought an "ARAL" tanker on ebay Germany for DM 2,50. Relisted it on ebay America and it sold for $284!
Not possible today as all ebay sites are linked.

It won't be me. To me a basket is a basket, a biscuit is a biscuit, so no telling what a tiskit basket is...misterpop wrote:Yes the tisket basket whatever that is........................................Someone will be along in a minuet to tell us..
