A few slightly harder to find models
a. 63 Dodge crane truck with painted crane rivet, fully painted crane interior and less common narrow wheels
b. 7c Ford Refuse truck with open toe and light purple plastic insert, rear brace and corner braces
c. 23a Caravan with no axle braces and no internal brace - this has a damaged towbar but I think this helped me get a good discount!

Re: Recent finds
I am unsure of the rarity of that Crane with narrow BPW, but if Stannard missed recording it, it could be a very HTF early variation that I have never seen or even knew of until Diecast Antonin's recent post on it. The open Toe Refuse Truck is one I had to buy out of Canada back in 2011 because I had never seen one here in the U.S. that was up for sale. I have only seen one other example sold by our Forum's Jason since then. It is very strange that Stannard missed catalogueing the open toe with those corner braces that ours also has on it Sebastian, they must be one he had never seen.
That 23A without base braces was also especially hard for us to find until I bought one from a Dealer friend of mine 2 years ago now. All three of these are HTF models to be proud of, Very Nice indeed Sebastian! Kwakers

Thanks for the comments. I have found another Dodge Crane Truck with the thinner wheels - this one has the unpainted crane rivet, part painted crane interior, short axle braces and no tow guide.
The Wreck Truck has the harder to find amber glass and the earlier base without the triangular reinforcing braces on the front bumper.
Unfortunately it is missing most of the tow hook but as it and the Dodge Crane Truck cost just £2 each I am not complaining!

Tow hook is quick and simple to replace.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Where can I find a Black Hook and how DO you replace a hook.
Have only seen red replacement hooks.
Cheers Red.

Great buy, I only wish we Down Under could find these bargains at toy fairs but alas I get most of my models from UK but can find a few bargains.
My two 71 Wreck truck with amber windows as pictured have different bases the smooth bed has no writing behind the front axle.
This is the Smooth Bed.
This is the Textured Bed. Any chance of a photo of your base (Textured Bed) and could you help me out with this "Triangular reinforcing Braces to Front bumper" as I have 4 models and all seem to look the same.
Cheers Red.

Glad you liked the recent 'bargain' and thanks for showing your smooth base version which I think may be harder to find than the textured base one.
I don't have a photo to hand of the base on mine but I have just checked it underneath and it seems to be exactly the same as your textured base version.
With regards to the triangular reinforcing braces on the front bumper these details are listed on the Nick Jones website
The link to the full article on the 71C Wrecker is http://vintagebritishdiecasts.co.uk/1index/xx71c.htm
The link to just the relevant images is http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p34/ ... 1/71c5.jpg - these are hosted on the photobucket web site and seem to require you to hit the back back button a number of times to return to the forum

Re: Recent finds
This is the very slightly harder to find version with the reinforced triangular bracing between the base and the cab - it needs a good clean but was less than a £1

Glad you liked it - I have another one of the same but in excellent/boxed condition which is a keeper.
I am trying to build up a few more duplicates of various harder or slightly harder to find models for possible trade to help obtain models that are on my wish list and which still elude me e.g.
30C Faun Crane without rear brace
42C Iron fairy Crane with high pin
44C GMC Refrigerator Truck without internal door stop
71C Ford wreck truck with smooth load bed - either amber or green roof light versions
