Is there a new Tekno addiction coming on Dave? I can understand if there is, as they made lots of superb items.

Maurice's model room looks like it would have been a great place to spend a few hours! What a superb display.

The only saving grace is there aren't that many Tekno's for sale here in New Zealand, but i'm definitely up for more if any turn up.

This weeks arrivals are all pre war, so circa 80 years old which is amazing because two of them are cardboard.

Wonder what these would be in todays money, vs these 1938 prices....

More pictures when I populate these boxes with the correct models. I'll also have a go at scratch building the packing pieces which I have templates for.

1/2 the pre war RAC set in the form of the call box and the Motorcycle and Sidecar. If any one has the two RAC men that go with this please get in contact.

Each of this weeks items is incredibly hard to find, so to get all from a single specialist dealer at affordable prices I am stoked! A few anxious moments when the parcel dropped off tracking for a week and was supposedly delivery attempted 3 times when I was home and no one was delivering.

Cheers

Considering the age and the amount of playware, the motorcycle is in remarkable condition, looking like nothing major missing or broken. As for the hut, I love all this sort of road furniture as it shows Dinky were totally aware of what was out there in the real world and little boys would probably enjoy having miniature versions, I know I would have!

Hey Red

You're a dark horse, having that many Northern Hemsphere items in your collection. PM me photos or a link of what you have and I'm sure we can work something out. Tankers are of particular interest.....

This weeks acquisition is a late issue Leyland Octopus Esso Tanker. The majority of the hubs are plastic, but the front set are Supertoys hubs fitted before overall assembly to the tinplate front chassis part. Underside shots to show how these are assembled to come....

Given this model was the first Atlas Dinky release there isn't seemingly as much demand for this original as there used to be, but I'm happy to pick this "error" issue up.

I Looooooovvvvvve Teknos, but like RSSierra said about New Zealand, Teknos don't show up locally much in the Toronto area. I usually cant afford them when they do but I still try to grab them when I can.

Red, I would love to see more pictures.....

Rather than hijacking this thread, could I suggest that this discussion continue in a new one?

G'day Shane,
Thanks for your interest and have opened Tekno topic in European & far East.

I have so many different makes & items that I do not collect any more, as have lost that MAD WHIM I had at that certain moment in time.
If anyone is interested in what I have to offer I will upload available models as time goes by. :D
