That is a very nice model of course.
I have the same, but also the identical 'problem'.
What I mean to say is that (very visible in your pictures), there is a rather wide opening between the wings and the upper part of the body.

So what I did is bend the wings in order to close the gap.
Not an easy job as they are very stiff, but some fiddling will do.
Apparently OD has seen the problem too and changed their tooling a bit, as my two tone one is much better.

Yes Gerrit, it is a shame the model is suffering slightly from the design of the tooling and I hope the retool fixes it.
