cancelled bid

Post by moston100 »

I was the only bidder on an item a few days ago and with only a few minutes to remain my bid was cancelled and the item was withdrawn. I contacted the seller the next day and he informed me that he was no longer selling the item. To my surprise the item has now been relisted and now has 1 bidder at a higher price than I was winning it for. Has anybody else had a similar experience and could advise me as to how I should proceed with this dilemma.

Would we not like to Police Ebay when these things happen. In this case I think you will have to bite the bullet and wait for another to come along.Believe me it will..
There has never been a piece that I wanted that did not come along multiple times....I have 8 emails a day with any new items I am looking for...Old diecast stuff I put my bids on and thats it....Very very occasionaly I will follow one to its end time and stick another bid on..
Sometimes an item may seem too cheap and after watching it all week it stays on your minimum bid..Very depressing for the buyer but very stressful if you think there may be another bidder waiting in the wings with a fist full of cash....In a case like this just put your absolute top bid price on it and sit back and have a nice cup of tea...Good luck for next time and if you win one of my diamonds I will deliver it myself...I'm just up Middleton road.. ;)
Heres the man with the bargains.Always open to offers from this sites members..http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/misterpop/m.h ... m=&_ipg=25

as MR P says wait for another
epay does a lot of shady things to collect fees which is why they have ever decreasing fee collections

just received 1 car today(sunday !!) before 12pm epay forced seller to use USPS 2-day guaranteed (cost)$1 less than my entire invoice usps and epay fees + inflated fees on inflated shipping suspect it cost/lost $2.50 to sell me the car

conversely won a bid on bulk lot, seller had a lot of time/work in calculating/managing/packing (trying to help sell) cheapest (epay) shipping (dont use them !!)
2x $ what it could be,any how it had make offer, which I did, with fair, first offer based on ACTUAL sales not epay BTO shills... and real world shipping. rejected way low, put in 1 bid at 10% over and won 20% under offer.
expect 20 of those to be available for trade/sale
