15d Volkswagen 1500 Saloon

Post by jsherwood »

I have a code 13 with full rear bumper in metallic red (although , sadly no labels remain) however, the front wheels are solid, and the rears are hollow. Will provide more photos if anyone is interested.

Cheers
John

Which wheels came first? Hollow or solid, or were they both produced at the same time?

Cheers, Steve

My understanding has always been that solid came first, with hollow following on very quickly (presumably as a material- and therefore also cost-saving measure).

My moderate research on Superfast wheels can confirm the solid design was first. Here is a link to that material...viewtopic.php?f=8&t=3477&hilit=superfas ... ld+numbers
