The models were assembled upside down. First fix the cab roof, assemble the fuel pipes and tank and secure to load bed. Note there was a hole let into the load bed for production models as a metal saving exercise.

Next assemble screen and cab/bonnet.

The screen component was substantially redesigned after the first shots were made. Extra detail added, strengthening bar thickened, steering column mount enlarged.

Same component for the Y12 van.
Now the seat, lights and rad can be added. The seat has 2 small lugs to stop it falling through the floor. The fakers bend/break these when they prise the seats out from the top of the model to swap them to make "rare" models.

Just the base now. Wheels would be the last item added, but this base already had them on.

"Et Voila!"

The roof and fuel pipes on this model are test pieces and lack production casting detail.
