K18A Articulated Horse Box. Issued 1967. All England castings.

Some variations found are:
Cab Type A - flat baseplate.
Type B - raised baseplate.

Trailer base - Type A: with legs.
Type B: Ridge on right side doubled. Stiffeners added to rear & left side.

Rear doors: Type A has lugs on top.
Type B has cutouts on sides.

I have just picked up a couple of tatty examples of this K18 to rob for parts and on dismantling noticed one of them has legs under the trailer.
Seeing as the trailer does not detach, the feature does seem pointless.

CharlieP posted a few photos of the underside of the model. Starting from the bottom of Charlie’s post, the 7th and 9th photos show a flat bottom and a bottom with 2 ‘feet’.
AJR, are these the same feet you’ve found on your trailer?

I also have one with legs inside trailer is grey and base plate is the same as in foto, and one without legs inside is green the axle spring is clear
plastic ,and no sign visible of castings.

In a previous post I pointed out the variations in the interior but sadly that picture has gone with the photobucket outrage..I would have thought that with those and the casting types very professionally put before us here by our friend charliep that the variations on this horsebox would be infinite.Any body care to do the maths??

Just revised the post and added another variation that has been on my 'wants' list for some time. It has black interior listed as #10.
They are getting harder to find especially in mint condition.
