Just received this on an invoice from eBay:

BUYER MUST CONFIRM PURCHASE WITH IN 2 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE. ACTUAL PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITH IN 6 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE.

How do you confirm a confirmation.

''BUYER MUST CONFIRM PURCHASE WITH IN 2 DAYS OF AUCTION CLOSE''

The fact you have purchased/won with your bid, should be all the confirmation they require. Do they think someone else could claim to have got it behind your back!!

Seems to be a bit of 'Over Kill' to me.

E Bay U.S.A. now sends all Buyers a demand for payment after 40 hours or so that threatens a non-payer strike if not paid within 2 days of of their notice. When Sellers are contacted about that rather RUDE notice, they usually comment: "That is from E Bay, not from me".
I did have a transaction "canceled" by E Bay after four days! I contacted the Seller and he simply stated "E Bay must be in a hurry to get their money". He gave me a "Buy it Now" on that item again, and of course I paid for it right away and gave him MANY Thanks.
I won two models from a U.S. Seller last Sunday, but I wished to bid on a model also being auctioned by him on Wednesday, three days later. I contacted the Seller to pay for the 2 models and to ask to combine the third in shipping to make it easier and cheaper on him for his FREE shipping on each of them. When he heard about the other model I wanted to bid on, the Seller asked me NOT to pay for the first two. He indicated that if I paid and he then held that package for me after receiving my payment, he would receive a strike for "LATE SHIPPING" !
Waiting just TWO days to Ship or to Pay is apparently no longer acceptable to U.S. E Bay right now. I think it sounds like the "Confirmation" they are searching for is in fact your payment over here Rod. This type messaging by E Bay against both Buyers and Sellers may kill both their "casual" and their "impulse" sales, leading to less people like us using their services. We are not ROBOTS, we have jobs and a real life off the computer to worry about.
An "Instant" Kwakers?, get a real life E bay.
I hope this helps you to determine why you will receive more troubling messages as E Bay speeds up the already hectic world we live in Rod. Cheers! Kwakers

I have fought this BS epay scam $$$$ for years it is not what we agreed too when it was setup and there were proper committees with input making the rules as we grew in the first years.
use to stack items for 30 days and only paid then to clear computer as that was time epay could track
last week won with a good seller and they contacted me :re more items soon please dont pay until
we set it up and epay BS sent me the same ransom note...seller said " not me ignore it"

have actually let time lapse..then 3-7-10 additional days to pay

have never agreed with 1 win 1 ship BS or ANY of the INFLATED DISCOUNT FAST SHIPPING bs!!!!
unless BTO in USA seller /buyer does not get discount

Will not list /sell either as it is 22% + and I could go on for pages how they cheat the little sellers and shill for the rental ones
