MOY Y9-2 1912 Simplex (Variation)

Post by brma »

Hi,
This is my first post and I am starting with a request for any information regarding the MOY Y9-2 1912 Simplex which I have in my collection. I believe it is of the last run (1986) of this model but as shown in the attached photos three of the whitewall tyres are not actually whitewall but more of a pink/very pale red colour. The axles appear to be of original Lesney factory fitting. I am not sure where I got this model as my collection has been stored for many years and I only recently was able to display it as it should be displayed. Thanks

Normal issue 26 or 28. Issue 28 is the rarer one having a 'Made in Macau' base instead of 'England" The whitewall tyres go pink sometimes as the batch to do this wasn't very reliable so some lots are white whilst others went pink/purple shade.

Thank you Moyboy. A quick check shows that it is the Made in England one.
