Re: 23c
These 23C Trailers have the same factory baked on finish as all other early Lesneys, so that finish should in theory hold up as well as on any other model. Because of this model's shape though, both the roof and the raised edges on the sides show all the wear and chipping when they are thrown in a box after playtime. Blistering we see on this model is mostly due to bad paint preparation which would show up most on that large smooth roof this model has on it. The "On Tow" rear decal tends to hold up pretty well on these as does their front and rear paint. The Tow hitches were strengthened through casting mods as time went on, but they still tend to break on these. Yes, the rear decal was used throughout production from the early lime-green through the last Black Plastic wheeled models produced. I have seen decals on the left rear of some models along with other Mint models that may have missed their decal on the production line, but those are considered "errors" rather than factory variations. Kwakers.

Re: 23c
Hi Gary,
Not something I have noticed on this model, this casting is another one of my favourites. Next time I dig them out I will check my ones in the collection.
