Tape Repair on boxes

Post by hydra427 »

Hi all, would like some opinions on using tape to repair boxes if all flaps are present? I have a few boxes that I recently picked up in a large collection and would like to know if you repair your boxes with loose or torn flaps. If you do repair your boxes what do you use? Is there something better than tape?

Thanks in advance, John

I did a post (with photos) on how to reattach flaps, let me see if I can find it.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

OK, found it. To re-attach a flap, just make a new "hinge" and laminate it to the inside of the flap and then attach it to the box.

Please don't put tape on a box. Most collectors would rather have a box with a loose flap than one with tape on it.
