The boom unit was removed from the Dodge wreck truck that used to make my Dodge grit spreader pairing. Very little goes to waste when I do a pairing, so it had been sitting on the bench. Now that it has it's hook, I have an idea for it ;)

How's your wrecker coming along Tito?

Picked it up today for the first time in months. Still not in final assembly. Needs decals and maybe some matte paint to dull the shine. And where did I put that roof beacon. Would be nice if I could find a way to make it flash. I bought a few Lomas ambulances to try that on. I was inspired by Thunderbirds, which featured such modified Matchbox ambulances. Maybe when Resto season begins again.

Cheers,
Tito

You can now buy miniature flashing LED's from model railway suppliers. If you can find a beacon to put back into the roof hole, the LED should fit inside nicely. Just need to buy a cradle for the flat 'CR' style batteries and a miniature slideing power switch to power it.
