outside of specific car for specific scene US movies do not generally use the large cars
in early years they needed/used backdrop or rolling screen/movie to show car in motion
in later years they used cutoff portions of the car in same method... Expensive to cut up 4-6 large cars for various scenes
when parts or examples of others easily obtainable.
later yet they went to trailered cars to give the actual view
excepting major productions,all of these would be too expensive to use the largest of land yachts
in early drama WC fields crashed several 100 model t
gm/chevrolet being the cheaper brand and MASS produced the large mid size family car is used for most crash up scenes
007,dukes of hazzard chips,emergency etc union/mob movies of the 70,s walking tall showed some larger but crashed the mid size

In todays big budget movie World, the film companies by the vehicles outright giving them every right to then smash em up!

chevrolet ford dodge amc ,large(mid size) family,main line, bread and butter offerings were always available to studios
a small chrysler "K" series from the 80's was mid to large for rest of the world.it lead directly to the mini van and suv
yes for major pictures and most anything today but they no longer need to.
there is also CGI and in the last 2 years many platforms to scan the subject vehicle which is then CGI applied to a "mule" vehicle run on green/blue screen set then CGI edited
In referring to the original post most non USA residents would be exposed to US land yachts through adverts or movie,where as most pre 2000 films would need the actual vehicle,the average family car or mid size would be plentiful for an purpose or use,and large luxury cars would have limited specific shots (
mass produced "large" cars were generally under 2000 units and $6K + in original pricing, while the mid size would be 30,000 units + and $2500-$3500
between CB DeMil /Houston/Ford until Spielberg there were few big budgets available for car films "DUEL" was low budget
other than the WC fields until the mid 70's when mid size cars became cheap due to no gas
BIG budget TV....with out CGI D of H required 5-7 main vehicles and 100 back ups,no crashs, just to do the stunts of the MAIN vehicle

in early days tele had 3-6 channels depending on weather and height of antenna ,at least two would overlap aire the same show each month and close up @ 1 am... so had to pay attention for the 5 hours a week children watched
when mid size US cars held 6-8 children in living room style we had drive-in vs theater
now with insomnia and 2 tele broadcast + 300 cable channels there are just 8/6 good ones available ,so when they overlap rebroadcast from month to month you rewatch more of the technical aspect( like some one and roller's !!)
the general public only had exposure of foreign autos in the same manner
otherwise never knew gm /ford was so many other names to rest of world,and certain of our entire factories where shipped around the world to produce identical vehicles once sold here

So in answer to my original query, land yachts and tank tanks are no longer made or available in conventional sedan form.
The only big units come in your SUVs and dual cab Utes. I'll use the Aussie term.
Seems like your roads share the same Camry/Corolla, Mazda 3/6, Accord/Civic fleet as rest of the world.
I checked the Cadillac Chris mentioned.
Not the gargantuan beast I recall from Zapruder movies or 60s sitcoms.
Appeared similar in size to Chrysler 300c which we do get here.
With demise of General Motors/Holden manufacturing in Australia, looks like GM may be sending Cadillacs, Corvettes and to battle with Ford's successful Mustang, Camaros. Don't think anyone will want them rebadged as Holdens.
Reported down under most favoured police vehicle in US was our very own Holden Statesman Caprice. Last V8 engine rear wheel drive sedan built by GM anywhere in the world.
This was a favourite with law enforcement world wide, even exported to Middle East.
Sadly, no more.
Our own police departments now looking at Camry and Kia for patrol duties and Hiway patrol are trialling Euro pursuit vehicles. Believe a 300 C is getting a trial too.
Recently did a run to Canberra in my Mustang.
9.5 l/100 km or just on 30 mpg (imperial).
Ok for brand new 5 Litre V8 Auto with added drag of roof down.
Of course when the temp hit 44 C turned on AC with roof up.

The "Land Yachts" in the United States have been replaced with SUV's (Sports Utility Vehicles) that are even larger due to height, etc, These would be the Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Tahoe, and even longer Chevy Suburban. When I performed live as a keyboard player in the 1980's and 1990's I carried my Oberheim Synthesizers in luxury in a Buick LeSabre Station wagon. I went through two of those. I really wanted to get the new (at the time) Buick Roadmaster wagon but then the market changed and those vehicles were discontinued in favor of he SUV's. We are now on our second Chevy Tahoe. The second one was purchased used...it is easy to spend $50,000 or more on a new one which is too expensive for us.
