I agree this looks like a 39a driver.

If I am not mistaken, this could have been switched anytime, so it is impossible to tell if this combination was created at the factory or not.

Hello Hugh and all,

I see that Houghton does not code his drivers the same as Nick and although Houghton has three driver types he does not list no infill or infill with the straight hands driver.
So it is possible the Houghton 2b-7 is actually Nick’s code 8

Or, is that a cap on his head? But, you guys are correct about the steering wheel being angled up and the shaft angle. It's a driver from another model.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

a) metal wheels with flat head crimped axles
b) metal wheels with dome head crimped axles
c) plastic wheels with dome head crimped axles
d) plastic wheels with dome head riveted axles

Metal wheels "44" (perhaps a new model "Rolls Royce Muir Hill", I am sure, Ghosty has never seen this model of RR :lol: )

There is something like tipper stop on the very late models. The upper part of the hinge is larger and it works like tipper stop.
