Very interesting. I have both the first and second edition NAMC catalogues so, when I’m next home, I’ll see what the entry says about the silver trim on this variation.[/quote]

The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (first edition) lists the model as variation 45-2d: off-white, grey metal base, BPW, r/a.
The NAMC’s “Catalog of all Series Matchbox Models” (second edition) lists the model a 45-2D: off-white, painted grey metal base, BPW.

Given that both entries indicate BPW and do not state that the variation is without trim, it is quite possible that the entry simply relates to a very pale, early 45b rather than a cream example.

I have shown this photo yet. You can see three colours or shades of the 45b Corsair.

Ghosthunter.
Is it really that anusual?
I only own three Corsairs - one of them does have matched axle ends.
Or does it only count for models with GPW mine has BPW?

Hi all,

I received today a fourth Corsair again with axle Ends on the same side. (Both are code 3 acc. to Nicks list)
Now it´s two to two.
