Original Hackney & Enfield bus blinds 1977

Post by tjlglass »

Two original London Routemaster bus blinds ready for framing, from an original red London bus.
The Hackney one is 32 x 6 and has been cut due to damage at one end & the Enfield one is 42 x 6 and uncut. Would look great framed up in a toy room, asking £25 each or £40 the pair + post from the UK.
These are very unique and made from paper and cotton backed. The bottom one in the photo has glass on top of it but will come rolled and unframed.

Hi Marcel, these were original working destinations bus blinds and would have been on a roll with different destinations at the front of the bus, the driver would have turned a Handel to make the roll turn to change destinations. They are in very good condition considering they would have been used on the front of the bus for many years.

Just like the “Park Lane” in this picture and 100% original.

Is that the same type of bus that Nick once owned?

I'm pretty sure that's the one (cut-down upper deck, route no. 69).
