Hi Mike,
Not quite sure what your asking here!
As I understand it the yellow Ford GT was only available in the G-4 gift set. So if that is the case then this box is not for this model.
If your asking if the box is a reproduction, then the best way I've found is to smell it !!! You can't recreate an old box smell !!
You can see quite clearly see that the box prints are different but that happened with different print runs.
Hope this helps.

Cheers Steve

Mike´s accurate photo of the end flaps looks like a repro box to me because cut bleached paper is visible where there should only be folds. This would not be allowed into my home!

GOOD BOX is above the BAD BOX. Mike, the brighter tidier box at the bottom of your picture, is a modern reproduction, which on it's own is fine, as long as it is not passed-off as an original, sold with a model. If you purchased this box as original with a model, and the seller did not tell you the box was new, this is naughty. I f you got it from a shop sale or second hand outlet, then that's fine, just keep it as a spare storage box, it will never be valuable.

I opened up an original box in front of me, and I believe the 'bleaching' that Mick has pointed out is the result of Mike's excellent photo, but funny light reflections that I can also see in person on my original right here. I have to agree with Joe (A veteran Expert with many years of field experience in these boxes) in that I can see no reason to cast such doubts as to this being an original Lesney box. I however, am not a box expert as he is, but I had to add my five cents here not to counter Mick's argument, but to relate what I have just seen and learned at my desk just now. My vote would also have to be 'Real' Mike........kwakers
