Unknown race car
Re: Unknown race car
The Hawk and Super Snipe shared a body shell. I think it's a Super Snipe because on the door there seem to be two words - in the 1960s the Rootes group (Hillman, Humber, Singer, Sunbeam, Commer) put the model name on the door in chrome script.

Hi Kevin,
thanks for this Picture and the suggsestion that it is maybe a Austin-Healey Sebring Sprite.
Will you allow to make a copy of the Picture?

Hi Gene

Isn't that the back car? The front race car looks too big to be a Sprite. The lights don't look very Austin either - perhaps Triumph or maybe Hillman?

Re: Unknown race car
Opps Yes Glenn, I was identifying the car in the rear. The one in the front does indeed look like some sort of heavily modified Triumph , possibly based on the TR-4. Though I could find no specific info on that vehicle. Apparently kits were available though back in the day to transform the roadster into a fastback.DrJeep wrote:"Isn't that the back car?
