Hello All, Just wondering what this Lesney #25 Volkswagen Beetle SPW is worth. It has it's original box with one end flap missing (all other flaps are there) and is in very good condition.
Thanks in anticipation.

Re: What Is This Worth
Greetings,
Value is fairly tough to indicate solely based on photos but one way to get a sense of relative value on different models is via Nick's price guide (prices shown for mint models) related to this Forum. The plastic silver wheeled version is more difficult than the grey plastic wheels for this model.
Box values typically relate to how "crisp" and complete a box is so with creases/dents and missing tabs or end flaps (the case for your photos), the value will go down quite a bit. A "B" series "new Model" box such as yours shown generally adds some value to the box. The type "D" box (picture box) for this model typically fetches higher prices.
Your model shown appears to be in good condition (probably C-8 range)
In general, Volkswagen (VW) models seemed to be favored overall by collectors.
Having said that, I would put the shown model with box in the $60 to $80 USD range.
Another way to get "market value" is to go to Ebay and look for similar models/boxes via search. Then go to advanced options after the search. From that page, check the "completed listings" box and your search will then show you the values that sold (priced in green) items brought for real auctions. This typically tells you what willing buyers are paying for similar items being sold at the current time.
Hope this helps..............
Bill
