Could one of the racing minis be hiding cast door hinges?. Only those who were in the sale room would have been able to get a closer look.

I was also wondering whether the SF60 Lotus without the bonnet label might have had the unmodified baseplate (i.e. 'Lotus Seven' instead of 'Lotus Super Seven' text).

One variation which I noticed immediately and which I have yet to see in the wild is the Code Red Mercury Fire Chief Car with blue windows.

Looks like the normal issue from the TP-115 twinpack to me (with black trailer). Issued from 1987 to 1990, so a bit later than most of the other models.

Thanks. (Well outside my comfort zone timewise!)

That was my first thought, but I wasn't sure.
Would you pay £600 to get one though?

Not me, but I would not pay that much for any toy car.

It is just the most interesting variation that I can spot in that lot, and I can imagine some dedicated collectors being willing to pay a three-figure amount for it (after looking for it in vain for twenty or thirty years or so). Some other models included in the lot are quite nice too (e.g. three black hubcap Pizza Vans - I wonder if they are all different variations!), resulting in the total lot being worth that much to someone.
