23d Pink caravan

Post by Sebastian10 »

This is the early body style with the different wheel combinations - fine treads on the front axle and knobbly treads on the rear axle

I don't know if this is rare but it is the first one I have seen

I would class that as a Factory Oops. Are the wheels paired on each axle, I.E. one axle has both wheels with the knobbly tread etc.

Yes - the front axle has fine wheels each side and the rear axle has knobbly wheels each side

See photo of other side

I also have one of them, exactly like yours.
Thanks again to our caveman who pointed it out to me during one of the Macungie shows.....

Here is another version - this is the later bodystyle with the knobbly wheels to the front and fine wheels on the rear axle.

There is factory wheel damage to one rear fine wheel - the one on the other side is undamaged

Brad

Would you have a picture of the yellow one with the mixed wheels? I am on the lookout for one of these.

In the meantime I am making do with the standard yellow model - this is the early issue with the all yellow painted interior

Thanks

Dan, I did not see any pictures of the Yellow Caravan with small and large treaded wheels together in the 'Photobucket' account I was able to get into.
