Re: Giftware Sale
You have a good photographic eye. Great pics. Do you have any pre-production or color trial giftware items either for sale or just to show from your collection?
Re: Giftware Sale
Bob, can you please send me the spread sheet.

Re: Giftware Sale
These are not for sale, but as per your request. I've never really seen any prepro giftware, but you do come across the odd peculiarity. Plated models without mounting holes or columns turn up now and again. This Y10 Rolls is an example I have. I have also seen Y2 Prince Henry, Y4 Opel, Y6 Cadillac & Y15 Packard like this.bobneumann wrote:You have a good photographic eye. Great pics. The painted/plated Lagonda has been described as a "spot prize" at a Lesney dance.
Other models seen treated in this way are seen in this old photograph
The Bugatti is a mystery. Clearly there are no racing numbers under the plating, but it has rubber tyres.
These tyres were used on the models that were encased in Transpalite blocks (lighters/paper weights), but those models are usually plated over the paint as they were production models bought in by the company to be used in their process.
The Spyker is an example of a model used to test the Transpalite plating process, which clearly failed in this case!
Note the rubber tyres.
