“The following 12 toys are finalists for 2017 induction into The Strong’s National Toy Hall of Fame. Only two or three will take their honored places in the hall this year when they are announced at a ceremony at The Strong on Thursday, November 9, at 10:30 a.m.”

Could someone please explain what this means:

“Paper airplane, Clue, and Wiffle Ball named 2017 National Toy Hall of Fame inductees.“

Not sure how the word “inductees” is used but looking at the web site, “Matchbox Toys” has not been included in the Hall of Fame!

New explanation:

Looks like Matchbox and Pez have been disqualified for voter fraud! :(

It does look as if the board game called 'Clue' has been chosen to enter the toy hall of fame for 2017. As for vote fraud for PEZ and Matchbox, how could we possibly know that by clicking the vote button Twice within a 24 Hour period would be taken as voting fraud, the system should have been designed to only register one vote no matter how many times you click!

Ah well, Matchbox was top of the list in the fraud votes... :D

In my opinion, any “ Hall of Fame” or other institution that has a toy connection and doesn’t recognise the important role “Matchbox” has played in toy history without having a vote to prove it has absolutely no idea about toys. I’m not sure I want to be associated with such a mediocre institute.
This might sound like sour grapes but it’s not, just perhaps a bit disappointing that I even took part.

It seems the idea behind the voting was just to get a handfull of toys in front of a panel of judges for them to decide what went in.

Apparently some people set up bots to register multiple votes for pez and matchbox hence both being disqualified
Those of us who voted correctly were let down by cheaters
One person has been named on the MCF Facebook page and was initially praised!!??
Cheats never prosper :(

It's Plane (sic) to see, the judges obviously don't have a Clue, they completely Wiffled this.
