It's an obvious tribute to Jack because he went into a sort of semi retirement when this was issued.

There was an interesting thread about this exact topic either on Lefora or the old mcch (can't remember which). Regardless, that was the general consensus. Due to an unfortunate turn of issues (strikes, fire & flood), the YY model's production went on holiday for a couple of years - just like Jack, they would soon return.
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

It is definitely a reference to Jack Odell.

ok - Thanks for the discussion.

I was just wondering that the initials are on a King model. AND I've never noticed it. I also have the big chopper from the King series, mentioned here, and have never seen it - Must be half blind, because it is shamefully clear on the model.
I was actually writing about wheels, on my website, and looking at my pictures, regarding wheels. Then I saw the engine of the tractor, and LLEDO ! -- ?

My page is a lot about renovations, and Tekno, and to keep track of my own collection also about matchbox. You can google - wagers tekno - something appears.

yes Tinman -- due to fires, floods, and strikes, and that Odelle stoppes. I got the thought, he might have started something up, somewhere else, to produce plastic parts. It was a shot in the air, a thought.

Found another place on the tractor with the name LLEDO, - on the front, here cast in the metal. I have never found the King models from this period particularly attractive. Perhaps most people think so ? and therefore not really mentioned anything about it before. But it might be interesting to see more Matchbox models with the lledo name

Hello Hans,
There is another Lledo nameplate model Speedkings K56 in this thread that may interest you.
