fantasic plastic!

Post by MOKOSEX »

I have slowly been collecting mettoy diecast and plastic vehicles for a number of years, one range has only two vehicles,a standard vanguard and a rolls royce silver wraith, which came in various scales and both diecast and plastic, well with this in mind i saw a lot at the local auction which listed a mettoy rolls which was 27cm long so i bid on the lot and won it.
I found out that this were kept in a loft above a birmingham toyshop, and i got two rolls ,one with working lights the other without, also a belco 500 car came with them and what was described has an ideal aston martin?? which i thought was a ferrari which turns out to be a pegaso. The rolls is MTY 905 :D ,the lesney rolls is for scale purposes.

I can see why people would say Aston Martin. Very similar.
Although to me it reminds me of the coachbuilt MG TD by Arnolt. Could be they designed the Pegaso body too.

Looks a lot like a Bristol to me.

Definitely a Pegaso. Here are the other kits in the range as detailed on the side of the kit's box lid.

I thought it was a ferrari originally ,and when i googled "ideal ferrari" i saw the box ghosty showed and saw that very specific bonnet and made the connection :D
I have now added a boxed rolls which is smaller in plastic ,and a standard vanguard which is diecast to my collection :D
