Re: My latest news
As a Morestone it was available from 1956 to 1959.
As a Budgie it was available from 1959 to 1965.
If your Van has a matt Black base and with those bare metal wheels, I would go for the Budgie version.

Yes that would be a plausible explanation.Idris wrote:BAOR = British Army of the RhineMalibu wrote:Hm - what do you mean by a BOAR Family?Idris wrote:It might have gone out with a BAOR family.

Hi,
today I came home from a five day trip to the Bavarian mountains and found a parcel with this models from Kurt.
Thanks a lot Kurt. I really like the Land Rover.
This one will get a new Driver - and have a look at the compare picture with the Wiking Version which was made in 1962 - seven years after the Matchbox model appeared.
Maybe Wiking made a copy of the Matchbox model. I´ll see what I´m going to do with the other models.

Great idea - let me see if I could get the stair and front wheel as spareparts.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:I would like to see the open top Bus converted into the Military version.Ghosthunter.

Enjoy Stephan!
I look forward to your creations.
If I remember correctly, the Land Rover has a flat head axel in the rear and a dome head axel in the front (both crimped).

I wonder if the stairs off this bus are the same as the motorized bus? If so, you can have this one.Malibu wrote:Great idea - let me see if I could get the stair and front wheel as spareparts.GHOSTHUNTER wrote:I would like to see the open top Bus converted into the Military version.Ghosthunter.

Re: My latest news
They are pretty close, the biggest difference is the bottom section, the Horse drawn Bus has a much deeper base section before you get to the first step.

Will they interchange with little or no modification?
