You have to ''splash it all over'' :D UK guys may find this mildly amusing if they remember that far back.
I do, it was our 'Enry' who was splashing it all over... :D

Ghosty.

toysnz wrote:Thanks Joe - I think I'll get a cheap one and try it out... I've an old Dinky Foden with some overpainting I'd like to remove (usually use alcohol, but it is a time consuming process) and I have a tin Kingsbury Cord I'd like to do a little rust/dirt removal on. Since I'm going to be having a total knee replacement in August I'll have a bit of spare time on my hands ...

Well after doing some more research on air erasers and finding a lot of negative comments about the more expensive Paasche kit I decided to get the Capital Pneumatic kit offered by Harbor Freight... registered on the site, made my order, then discovered I can't pay for the order because their system is only designed to accept US credit card details! It accepted my US drop-box address but when filling out the CC payment forms it would not recognise my drop-box as a valid billing address for my CC and would not accept my NZ billing address as it doesn't conform to US address format (city, state, zip code, etc).

Bummer.. now I'll have to rethink how to get one... the ones on ebay and amazon are twice the price asked by Harbor Freight!

Question for those who use air erasers/mini sandblasting equipment:

What size is the tip you are using - some I've seen in the mini range are only 0.5mm, others as large as 5mm....

Let me see how much it weighs and get the shipping cost. I could easily pick up one for you (or order one and forward it if not in my local store).
It might be time to start my "Bucket List."

Thanks Joe... that would be great - the one I looked at is the Air Eraser/Etching Kit - Central Pneumatic® - item#69277 at $27.99 (according to specs it is 1.7lbs)

I'd be very grateful if you can get it...

I checked it out online. If I can get it at my local store, shipping would be 22.75. The tool with tax would be $30.00 bringing the total to right at $53.00 USD (72.05 NZ).

If I have to order it online, the shipping total would be $29.75 with the tool the total would be right at $60.00 USD (81.57 NZ).

Let me know ...
